The Latest in Technology
The E4D
Designed by D4D Technologies scans the tooth with the E4D Laser
which allows the Dentist to take multiple 3D pictures of the tooth. The
information is then sent to the mill system that creates the restoration
in minutes rather than weeks.
Just imagine needing a crown today and leaving with a new one on
the very same day!
The NOMAD
NOMAD is designed with safety in mind. A unique, external
backscatter shield and internal radiation shielding protect the
operator from radiation exposure. In fact, the exposure from using
NOMAD is orders of magnitude less than allowed by the FDA.
NOMAD radiation exposure is less than 1% of the allowed
occupational doses. NOMAD is safe! Traditional wall-mounted x-rays
can generate a substantial amount of stray radiation when fired.
Backscatter off the patient's teeth can reflect back at the operator or
through other parts of the patient.
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio has
conducted independent testing of NOMAD's safety and quality
compared to traditional wall-mounted machines. In January, Dr.
Robert Langlais, diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine
and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology
presented their findings at the Southwest Dental Conference in
Dallas, Texas.

Langlais explains just how safe NOMAD is.
